Pharmacy Technician (PRN)

Location: Henderson, NV

CompleteRx has an opening for a Pharmacy Technician (PRN) to help provide patient care at our partnered hospitals, Horizon Specialty Hospitals. We have an opportunity for someone available to pick up shifts Monday - Friday. You'll play a key role in providing coverage as needed and supporting the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy.

Compensation:

  • $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Pharmacy Operating Hours:

  • Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm
  • Saturday and Sunday, 8am - 12pm
  • Holidays, 8am - 12pm

Horizon Specialty Hospital of Henderson is a long-term acute care hospital for patients requiring extended hospitalization to meet the medical and rehabilitation needs. The hospital is the second Horizon facility in the area, joining Horizon Specialty Hospital of Las Vegas, another long-term acute care facility. What You Will Do

  • Ensures procurement and distribution of drug orders.
  • Setting up and packaging of IV mixtures and sterile compounding (IV admixture).
  • Identifies and fills replacement medications on emergency crash carts, OR carts, and floor stock accurately.
  • Prepares sterile products (including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition) accurately.
  • Delivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately.
  • Picks up orders, requisitions, and medications for return from patient care areas during delivery rounds.
  • Enters charges and credits for patient medications accurately.
  • Rotates stock to ensure use before the expiration date.
  • Identifies and replaces outdated and unusable drugs.

What You Will Need

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of pharmacy technician experience preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Possess current pharmacy technician registration in the State of Nevada.
  • Possess an IV certification, preferred.
  • Successful completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training course is preferred.
